STUDENT CHAPTER INFORMATION:
WELCOME to the ASID/IIDA FCCJ Campus
Center. Being part of the program at FCCJ automatically makes you a
member of our student chapter. The good news…there are no fees…just
come and enjoy the fellowship with fellow students, professors, and
professionals. Because this is a two year program it is important that
each of you find your place in the student chapter, serving to better
all in the program, and ultimately, enhance your experience as a student.
MISSON
STATEMENT:
The FCCJ ASID/IIDA Student Chapter exists
to provide its members with the opportunity to meet and interact with
other students in the program, as well as interact with professionals
in the field through monthly events. The chapter will promote an atmosphere
of community that will enrich each students' educational experience,
and provide them with the opportunity to discover the path which will
lead them to their place in the interior design profession.
CHAPTER GOALS:
1. Create awareness
in the student body that they are automatically a member of the chapter
by being part of the Interior Design Program at FCCJ. There are no dues
or membership fees to participate in the chapter.
2. Encourage students to volunteer to be part of the
board and committees, which is the heartbeat of the student chapter
and vital for its existence.
3. Promote membership in the national organizations:
ASID and IIDA. Provide students with information on local, state, and
national events held that students can participate in by being a member
of these organizations.
4. Provide educational opportunities to the students
that extends beyond the classroom.
5. Cultivate relationships that will carry into the
design community.
